The Chennai Eye Care Hospital A Benefactor to Gurunanak School

Doctors from the Chennai Eye Care Hospital, Velachery rendered great  services with care and concern, to  check eye defects in children from 6th to 12th standards. Very note worthy factor was that the students were given a coupon to help two of their family get free eye check up from the hospital.

Dental Camp

one of the largest dental central in India “Dr. Smilez advanced dental care center” conducted a free dental check up in our school on 22nd June 09. from 9 am to 4 pm. The hospital consist of internationality trained consultants. CAD-CAM dentistry, international quality lab service and sedation dentistry. The  aim of the dental check up is to make every one smile for ever and to create awareness among the students dental care  centre organized the dental checkup. The students were provided with a record of dental findings and also they were advised to take necessary  treatment  as soon as possible. They were given a coupon to avail free dental consultation and 50% discount on all dental treatment.

D2 Zone Sports and Games

Guru Nanak Matric. Hr. Sec. School takes the pride and honour conducting D2 ZONE sports and games on behalf of the District Sports Authority. The school has projected  increased levels of participation and  winning by the students. At the zonal levels, for nearly five consecutive years. We hope to do equally well in  future and produce sports men and women of good ranks.

Rally for a Cause

The NCC students of Gurunanak  School went on a rally for a cause. It was on October 16th to alert the people about the sincreasing health caused by the reckless usage of plastic bags and disposable cups and  plates, adding to the garbage menace.

Road Safety Week Observed

The 22nd Road Safety Week was observed in high spirits by the RSP, NCC and NSS students of the Guru Nanak Matric. Hr. Sec. School on Friday the 7th January. The students rallied into the Guru Nanak College Premises creating awareness to wear helmet also held placed showing safety practices to be followed while commuting.
