Road Safety Patrol

The school is a member of the Road Safety Patrol, a wing of the Tamilnadu Police Traffic Warden’s  Organization. Around 60 students participate  every year under this programme to develop a sense road traffic and take active participation of Road Safety Patrol Programmes in the city.

SELECTION

ON 15.06.2010, 71 RSP cadets enrolled themselves in RSP activities for the academic year 2011-2012.

SEMINAR ATTENDED :-

On 13th July 2010, Our RSP teachers Mr. E. Paul Vinotha Rajan and Mr. A . Leon Baskar attended training at Alagappa School, Purisiwalkam and learnt basic of foot drills, signal drill and theoretical part of road safety.
On 27.10.2010, 30 RSP cadets along with RSP teachers and Traffic wardens attended a seminar on Road safety organized by Toyota at Bala Vidhya Mandhir School, Mylapore. They have learnt about laws and rules to be followed at Road.

PARADES :-

Totally 20 parades were organized last year. During the parades, our RSP cadets learnt traffic management principals, priorities, components of road safety patrol, police hand signals and traffic control devices.

AWARNESS PROGRAM :-

On 10.01.2011, Our RSP unit along with NSS and have organized a mass public campaign to create awarness among road users and pedestrians. The Rally was preside over by major. Babu Rathinam and Road Inspector Mr. Sundarajan. Our principal, vice- principals, NCC and NSS officials also participated actively in that rally.

Our school is a member of Road Safety Patrol, a wing of the Tamil Nadu Police Traffic Wardens Organization. Our RSP unit with NSS under the leadership of Mrs.Gayathri Organized a Road Safety and Helmet Awareness Campaign  in Velachery with Traffic Police  of Guindy.

REPUBLIC DAY PARADE :-

Our RSP Cadet C. Surya of IX standard got selected and attended the prestigious republic day parade at St . George Fort on 26th January 2011.

 

INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE :-
On 15th August 2013, our RSP cadets greeted Our Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu at the Ramparts of Fort. St. George.

 

AWARD :-

Our RSP teacher Mr. E. Paul Vinotha Rajan got selected as Best RSP teacher award and he receive the same on 14th of July 2011.

Our school RSP students 15 members participated the Competition regarding Road Safety Patrol at Bentinck Higher Secondary School, Kilpauk, Chennai. They have won many prizes.
